• Metro areas:
  • 5 years old and under: all family contact arrangements will be cancelled, acknowledging that very young children are more vulnerable in these conditions.
  • Over 5 years old: family contact may go ahead if it is considered essential, and decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

As a carer, we encourage you to contact your child’s case worker to discuss any scheduled family contact visits and your particular circumstances.

The department is also rescheduling, cancelling or shortening the length of a number of Children’s Christmas parties during this time.
