The December Read to Me book packs are about to be sent out to all children in care under the age of seven.

Read to Me is a book gifting program operated by Raising Literacy Australia that supports children in care to improve their reading and language skills.

The project recognises the importance of access to quality age-appropriate books and encourages positive adult–child interactions to support healthy brain development.

All children in care under seven years will automatically receive free books as gifts every three months, creating a library they can keep and enjoy for many years to come.

Packs are delivered each March, June, September, and December and are specially selected based on each child’s age.

Raising Literacy Australia also has a YouTube Channel that shares book readings and activity videos – Find out more at: https://www.youtube.com/c/raisingliteracyaustralia
